Richard S. Slaton, CCIM, is Principal of Slaton Properties, LLC, where he specializes in structuring strategic financing solutions and advising property owners and operators with a focus on sustainable value creation, particularly in affordable and workforce housing. He brings extensive institutional experience from leadership roles at JPMorgan Chase’s Community Development Bank, Bank of America, U.S. Trust Private Wealth Management, and MARTA’s transit-oriented development initiatives, as well as private-sector development work with The Integral Group. In addition to his professional work, Slaton is deeply engaged in civic and industry leadership, serving as Chair of the Board of the Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership and President of the CCIM Foundation Board of Directors, alongside service with organizations including the CCIM Institute and Atlanta Land Trust, and contributing as a faculty member at Morehouse College, where he teaches finance and real estate. He holds a BA in Finance from Morehouse College and an MBA in Finance from Kennesaw State University, and is a licensed real estate broker in Georgia, Alabama, and Florida.
